Basseterre: St. Kitts, Friday, January 14, 2025: International Mathematics Day is annually celebrated on March 14, since its inception by UNESCO in 2019. The recognition of this day coincides with Pi Day which celebrates the limitless Pi [3, 1, and 4 or 3/14].

The celebration of International Mathematics Day enables the spotlight to shine on the significant role played by mathematics and mathematics education in the development and advancement of society, science and technology, healthcare, food security, empowerment of women and girls, as well as contributing to the realization of the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals agenda [SDGs 1-17] https://sdgs.un.org/goals

To commemorate this day the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) will be host a panel discussion under the theme Mathematics, Art and Creativity at the CFBC Poinciana Conference Room at 5:30 pm.
