Basseterre, St. Kitts, Friday, March 20, 2026: The Cotton-Thomas Comprehensive School held its annual community march in observance of Down Syndrome Awareness on Friday, March 20, under the theme, “Mirror! Mirror! on the Wall, Extra Chromosome, Extra Love.”
The march brought together students, teachers, and members of the wider community in a show of unity and support for individuals with Down Syndrome. It aimed to highlight the importance of inclusion, celebrate diversity, and raise awareness about the rights and capabilities of people with Down Syndrome.
The annual march remains a significant event on the school’s calendar, reinforcing the message that every individual, regardless of ability, has value and deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
