UWI FIVE ISLANDS CAMPUS GRADUANDS RECEIVE CERTIFICATE OF PROFICIENCY

Basseterre: St. Kitts, Thursday, May 09, 2024:​ Five nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis received
certificates of Proficiency from Minister of Education Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley for completing
courses at the UWI Five Islands Campus in Antigua. The presentation was held at the Minister’s
office, Cayon Street.

Hon. Dr. Hanley extolled their successes.

“Indeed, we are happy to be partnering in this our first certificate handing over ceremony for
Kittitians who would have been a part of the new campus in Antigua. I would like to
congratulate every one of you for your hard work, and now you are at the point where you are
receiving your certificate. Once again, congratulations and I must extend special congratulatory
remarks to Mr. Omari Browne for achieving the best results in his course Entrepreneurship –
The Power of an Idea in the entire course of studies amongst other persons from around the
region.”
Certificates of Proficiency for completion of the Grant Writing Proposal were received by Verna
Browne, Lesia Willock, Jannette Harris and Navenjendra Persaud. Omari Browne received his
Certificate of Proficiency for completing the Entrepreneurship – The Power of an Idea course.
Speaking on behalf of recipients, Mr. Browne who was celebrated for best regional results
expressed that the completion of his studies has not only refreshed his skills but also sharpened
them and positioned him to become a more successful entrepreneur.
